I have seen many instances where the parents have bought a car for their child and have ended up with a dead or disabled child. This happens because the child was not treating the car with respect for how dangerous a car can be. At a young age, teens can think that they can get away with many things, and they do. If you purchase the car yourself, you will respect it more, and are less likely to take chances with it.
If you look around hard enough I am sure that you may be able to find a job within walking distance of your home. I know of many adults that have walked over two miles each way from their home to their job each day. I know of at least one adult that walked from Smyrna to Tucker Georgia each way to work for over fifteen years. I encourage you to look this up if you do not believe me. So quit whining and get out there and find a job!
Quit using the poor excuse that you must have access to a car before you can get a job. It is possible that the real reason that you keep on saying that you need a car to get a job is that you are just lazy and do not want to get a job. I am sure that some of your friends see this in you, but they will not say anything to you. They may talk about your laziness to others. The bottom line is you keep blaming me, because that is easy and may make me upset, but it just shows that you have no respect for yourself and do not want to take responsibility for your own actions. Once you have the job, start saving money instead of using it to buy friends. It will not take long to save enough money to buy your own car. Your first car may have to be used, but you are not the only person that is driving a used car. And don't forget that you must also have enough money to pay for the upkeep and insurance on the car. Quit depending on others and you will be a happier person.
Actions speak louder than words. I may have noticed that you have no problem getting out almost every night to be with your friends but you must depend on me to supply your transportation when you want to find a job. I may not say anything, but I am not that dumb.
Money is not everything, and many people with a lot of money are not happy. Being satisfied with yourself is more important. You must WORK to make your own money, and do not count on others to hand it to you on a silver platter. Get out there, learn as much as you can possibly absorb and then you can create opportunities for yourself. The sky is the limit and most people set self-imposed limits on themselves that keep them from succeeding in life. Education and a positive attitude will go a long way in making your road to success an easy road to travel. Do the things you like to do and learn to make money at it!
You should ALWAYS respect another person's property, money, privacy, opinions, and time. Another person's property should not be taken as your own. This is known as stealing and you will be caught. If you steal from me, I may not say anything, but I will think less of you and not respect you. If you see something of another person that you like, you should work and make money and buy it for yourself. You could probably buy a better, newer one for yourself, anyway. You may be able to steal money from me, but it will hurt you more than it will hurt me. By stealing, you are not learning to be self-sufficient. I am not going to be around forever and you will eventually have to learn how to be self-sufficient. It is easier to learn the work ethic early in life and you will find that by having a good work ethic, you will be a happier person. You should find something that you love to do and make a career of it. Here are some books that may be of help.
