What is Munchausen by Proxy Syndrome? A mother (or a father) can be accused of purposely mistreating their child in a way that makes the child sick and in need of medical help. They say this is done to gain attention or because the parent is depressed about something. The parent can do this by starving the child, or in a most recent case, overfeeding the child to the point that it is overweight and the weight is endangering the child's health. If the parent shows the proper love and respect, and take responsiblity for their own actions, this should not occur. What is your opinion on gun control? Gun control only affects those people that obey the law. It will not stop those that intend to break the law. Australia recently took all of the guns away from the law-abiding citizens of their country. Since doing that, crime rates have increased because the criminal knows that the victims are not armed to protect themselves. The same thing has also happened in England. In the United States, in areas where guns have to be registered, the criminal is not required to register his gun. This is because registration of a gun would be self-incrimination. This is because by law a convicted felon is not allowed to own a gun. They will find a way to get a gun. If they don't get a gun, they may use a knife or some other item that can cause injury or death. The bottom line: Gun control can not work.

How do I deal with incest? Incest is kept as a secret in most famlies where it does occur. If you have a problem with incest, I suggest that you contact someone as soon as possible to help you. You must be careful in who you choose to turn for help and a pastor at your church may be your best choice. Another good source that I have recommended people to go see is their local United Way which can be contacted through this web site. I sent someone to United Way locally here in Georgia, but they have offices nationwide that supply excellent services.

Why is the news media so one-sided for the Democrats? Not all of the news media is that way. Most of the major ABC, NBC and CBS network news anchors show their bias for their Democrats every day. There are many other news sources easily available, and I also read their web sites. Fox News is doing a good job. Other sources are: NewsMax.com and World Net Daily. I purposely said "their Democrats" because the network media is so pro-Democrat. I watch Charlie Gibson and Dianne Sawyer on Good Morning America and their leanings toward the Democratic party is shown almost every day. When watching the news, you have to be aware of what and who you are watching. You need to take this infomation to help you make your own choices as to what information you use to make your daily decisions in life. Take the World's Smallest Political Quiz and be truthful, and answer the questions correctly and don't answer "maybe". You may be surprised as to what political party represents your ideas.

Some of my friends are from rich families and this makes me aware of the fact that I do not have as much as they have. How can I deal with this situation?Do not worry about what you do not have. If you dwell on it, you will be unhappy, and will generate self-inflicted problems for yourself. Be thankful for what you do have and show others respect for what they have. Material things can come and go, but love, respect, and friendships are priceless and will last forever. Many people that do have a lot of money and material things are lacking in these important priceless items, including true friends. Money can make them rich, but many times, it can also make them unhappy. It is better to be poor and happy than to be rich and unhappy. Now, don't take me the wrong way. I would be happy to be rich, and would respect what I obtained. Your true friends will not look at the size of your check book or keep track of how much money you spend on them. Your true friends will accept you unconditionally and will love you for what you are and not for what you could be. You can't buy friends.
If you want to be like them, stay in school and college and learn as much as you can. Knowledge will enable you to make the right choices in life and if you continue to make the right choices, you too can become rich. Look through our book list for books that will help you.

Should I get married? First ask yourself the following questions:
Are you in love with her/him?
Is she/he really in love with you?
Are you really mature enough to be making this decision?
Is she/he mature enough to be making this decison?
Before you can make a decision, you need to know the answers to the above questions first. At a young age, MOST people do not even know what love is. Many people will get married for the wrong reasons and will be sorry for it later in life. Marriage should be a lifetime commitment and a choice that should not be made in haste. Whatever you do, if she/he really does love and respect you, she/he will wait until you are ready to make an informed decision.
Many relationships are based on a sexual attraction to each other, and there is no underlying love, nurturing, and caring relationship. Once you do get married you will both continue to grow and change and it is important to accept each other for what each person IS and not what each person COULD BE.
Be patient, and do not allow her/him to force you into doing ANYTHING THAT YOU DO NOT REALLY WANT TO DO. Stand up for your own rights and feelings, and she/he will respect you more in the long run if she/he really does love you and care about you.
If there are any doubts in your mind, DO NOT GET MARRIED. Marriage should be a lifetime commitment that two people make to each other and nothing less.

Why should I have a job while in school? Not everyone should have a job while in school. Having a job outside of home will teach you responsibility and you will learn what it is like to work for someone else out in the real world. You can learn how to manage your own money and will learn to respect money. Saving that money to purchase a car is a good goal to set instead of spending that money as fast as you can make it. While in school, you should remember that learning in school IS your highest priority job and I suggest that you work less than 15 hours a week while in high school. Once you are 18 and in college, you are considered an adult and you are expected to know how to manage your time and money and know how many hours you can work without having it affect your school work, which should be the higher priority. I personally should have NOT gone to college right out of high school and should have got a job. While I was in college, I did not do well because I was not mature enough to understand how important a college degree would be later in my life. I have been turned down for more than one job just because I do not have a college degree. Now that degree is more important than ever when companies are deciding who to hire.
